Pinpoint's founder Ed French

Ed French is an engineer who worked for more than 10 years for Enterprise Ventures (now Mercia) as Fund Manager and Investment Director specialising in early stage technology companies. At EV Ed was the first investor in Blue Prism which went on to list and achieve unicorn status and was fund manager for the Yorkshire Seedcorn Fund which achieved strong investor returns investing in deep-tech companies.

After Pinpoint, Ed became CEO of Tangentix, a video game datacompression company and platform. He raised multiple rounds of venture capital for the company which was sold in 2018.

Ed has run an incubator spinning-out companies based on university technologies, where he was also responsible for intellectual property and licensing.

Ed has a degree in Engineering Science from Cambridge University and an MBA from Bradford Management School.
